SALLY WOODS

Sally is the Founding Principal of Unit 7 Architects.
She grew up in Palmerston North, and knew from age 7 that she would be an architect. Sally graduated from Victoria University with a BArch (Hons) in 1997 which included a student exchange to the University of California, Berkeley. She then moved back to San Francisco, California to work for Holt Hinshaw Architects where she contributed to retail, high end residential projects and organised the office parties.
On returning to NZ Sally worked at Athfield Architects on a variety of projects including projects for Victoria University, the National Library and The Dowse in Lower Hutt. She went on to teach at Victoria in the Interior Design discipline before returning to Athfields in 2007.
Sally realised her dream of becoming a registered architect in 2006. She established Unit 7 Architects in 2010.
Sally is an enthusiastic home chef, dabbles in jogging and Pilates, and is a dedicated human life support system for her ridiculous dog, Stella.
